FOSTER: ABACO –TRAINING and EDUCATION CENTERS (A-TEC) The John B Foster: Abaco - Training and Education Center (A-TEC) was founded by a group of business practitioners and leaders who care about the development and growth of the people and organizations of the Bahamas. Through a charitable donation from Mr. John B Foster, we have organized a learning center approach for the family islands of the Bahamas. We are dedicated to helping organizations succeed through higher learning and skills development for people in hospitality, hotel & resort, restaurant, service, and event planning organizations. We value People & Participation, Integrity, Continuous Learning, Fairness, Timeliness & Consistency, Continuous Improvement, and Total Customer Satisfaction. Our Vision Our vision is to develop a series of training and education centers throughout the family islands of the Bahamas. We will develop and deliver high quality, interactive training and education programs for Total Quality Service and other Performance Excellence programs based on the “voice of the customer.” We seek to be the customer focused, supplier of choice for education, training, and skills development needs in the family islands of the Bahamas. Our Mission Our mission is to develop a sustainable performance excellence training and education model for delivering high quality programs in the Out-islands of the Bahamas, beginning in Abaco in 2009. Our initial course offering in the Performance Excellence Series, will be Total Quality Services. This program is designed for Customer Contact, Supervisors and Managers, and Executive level personnel, and is delivered in a series of full-day sessions or workshops.
